Ten people killed in drunk driving crashes since year’s beginning

In the first seven months of this year, there have been 93 driving under the influence traffic accidents, which killed 10 people and seriously injured 115 others, the National Inspectorate for Public Safety (INSP) reported.

DUI crashes account for about 9% of the total traffic accidents. The INSP is asking the public to do whatever they can to not let someone drive if he or she has been drinking. When someone throws a party, he or she should make sure that all the guests leave with a sober driver.

From the beginning of the year, there have been 807 traffic accidents, which killed 100 people and hurt 913 others.

Speeding and adapting the speed to the road conditions remain the leading cause of fatal crashes. They killed 44 peopld and injured 287 others.
