A group of teachers from “Alexandru Vlahuță” Theoretical High School of Bucharest teach Romanian to students of “Olimp” Theoretical High School of Sângerei in the Republic of Moldova. It happens as part of the project “In one Voice Forever and Always!”, funded by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania, IPN reports.
The project runs from April to October 2024. “The initiative started with the signing of an agreement between the two high schools last September, through which we wanted to formalize our desire to carry out joint activities to create an educational community through which to implement excellence in education. In short, with the physical presence, beyond the online one, of the teachers of “Alexandru Vlahuță” High School, at “Olimp” High School the students and teachers of the educational unit in Sângerei will directly benefit from our commitment to strengthen this educational bridge over the Prut,” said Gabriel Rizea, director of “Alexandru Vlahuță” Theoretical High School of Bucharest, Sector 1.
Present in Sângerei, coordinator of the project “In one Voice Forever and Always!” Diana Panaite said that friendly and open interaction already brings an immeasurable added value both for the primary beneficiaries of the educational act and for the entire community. “This contact will have multiple beneficial effects, as the participants, students and teachers, will share their experiences with their families, colleagues and other teachers, but also with other members of the communities they are part of,” stated Diana Panainte.
Within the project, professional training activities for teachers, interdisciplinary exchanges, meetings between students from the two countries were carried out with the aim of promoting the common values of Romania and the European Union and many others.
