When submitting the tax return, the persons can use the pre-completed statement with information that is contained in the database of the State Tax Service. This became possible following the implementation of the automated information system “Pre-completed statement” from March 2, IPN reports.

“The private individuals-taxpayers should go to the local tax inspectorate to get a pre-completed statement. The taxpayers must only confirm their identity by presenting the identity card or another confirming document. This can also be done by their legal representatives,” said Veronica Vragalev, division head at the State Main Tax Inspectorate.

“The taxpayers or their legal representatives will verify the content of the pre-completed statement on the computer screen. If the information is correct, the statement is printed and they can put their signature on it. The pre-completed statement can be corrected with the help of the tax inspector responsible for the reception of the tax return, based on the information presented by the taxpayer.”

The pre-completed statement can be sent directly to the persons who have a digital signature or an authenticated electronic signature in the Personal Office, through the automated information system “Electronic statement”.

The deadline for submitting tax returns and paying the income tax is March 25, 2015. The private individuals who work and get a salary from several jobs, those who do not have a salary, but had incomes from the sale of property or from leasing out farmland must submit a tax return if the incomes earned are higher than the personal exemption (9,516 lei in 2014). This also applies to Moldovans who settle abroad.
