Synthesis Group Instituted for the Analysis of the Results of the Implementation of EGPRSP

The Government instituted a synthesis group to analyze the results of the implementation of the objectives and priorities stipulated in the Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Paper (EGPRSP) and following the social economical development in 2004-2006. The synthesis group is headed by the prime vice-prime-minister, Zinaida Greceanai, and is constituted by the minister of Economy and Commerce, Valeriu Lazar, the minister of Finance Mihai Pop, the minister of Health and Social Protection Ion Ababii, the minister of Agriculture and Food industry, the minister of Industry and Infrastructure Vladimir Antosii and others. The synthesis group will formulate proposals for the organization of activities of adequate instruction of the employees of the ministries involved in the activity and submit them to the Government. Also, a work group was instituted for the initiation of the process of revision and elaboration, in a new edition, of the annexes to EGPRSP. The revision activity for these will also involve work groups from within the ministries and other central administrative authorities. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) will keep coordinating the interaction between ministries, other central administrative authorities and local public authorities, the civil society and the academic environment regarding the extension of EGPRSP actions for 2007. At the same time, the MEC will collaborate with the international financial bodies and the donor countries of technical assistance, with the goal of extending the official assistance for development, afferent to the implementation of EGPRSP. The new edition of the EGPRSP annexes is to be presented to the synthesis group by the 30th of September of this year.
