Some of the political commentators consider the suspension of President Igor Dodon from office was provoked by the President himself, while others believe this is only a part of a game agreed by the Democratic Party and the Party of Socialists, IPN reports.

Former MP Stela Jantuan said Igor Dodon can ask to be included in the Guinness World Records as he is probably the only President in the world who was removed from office for the fourth time already, actually without him doing anything for this not to happen anymore. “I think this is not the last temporary suspension from office. Every time the President issued warnings, but did nothing even if he has instruments to act,” Stela Jantuan stated in the talk show “Politics of Natalia Morari” on TV8 channel. She noted a solution is to seek help from the people to whom the sovereignty belongs.

Political commentator Roman Mihăeș said the President himself generated the situation that led to his suspension from office and there is an acerbic fight between the Democratic Party and the Party of Socialists. The candidates proposed for minister of health, labor and social protection and minister of agriculture, regional development and environment meet the criteria and the President had no serious reasons to reject them.

Ștefan Gligor, expert in public policies, stated the Constitutional Court’s decision to suspend Igor Dodon from office showed that the constitutional limits were violated. “De facto, the Constitution is applied in the case of everyone except for those who are in power and their partners, the Party of Socialists,” he said. According to him, the PDM and PSRM simulate a particular struggle and the five-minute removal from office forms part of this game.

The Constitutional Court on September 24 passed a judgement ruling that the Speaker of Parliament or the Premier will hold office of President on an interim basis to sign the decrees to name the two candidates for ministers whom Igor Dodon rejected after the Prime Minister fielded these for two times.
