Dorin Chirtoaca’s victory in the Chisinau mayoral elections of 2007 meant:

1. unexpected gap in a system that was well bureaucratized by Voronin’s Communists;

2. radicalization of political and economic repression of the Voronin regime;

3. appearance of natural hopes in Moldovan politics;

4. entering by the Romanian language of the political vocabulary of the primitive and wooden Moldovenism;

5. reanimation of a marginal party (initially the Party of Reform and then the Liberal Party) and its transformation into a parliamentary party;

6. appearance of the PLDM – a new-generation political machinery;

7. start of the end of Voronin’s political and economic system that seemed to have been established at least for the period of Vladimir Voronin’s lifetime;

8. twitter revolution of April 2009;

9. a hope in the democratization of society;

10. and a dream of the residents of Chisinau regarding the humanization and modernization of the city’s infrastructure.

Dorin Chirtoaca’s victory in the mayoral elections of 2015 will mean:

1. ossification of a hair-upist bureaucratic system;

2. a long period of hibernation of hope;

3. strengthening of the negotiation positions of the Liberal Party in the possible government coalition;

4. free fall and further decimation of the PLDM;

5. postponement of a project of the future of Chisinau;

6. division of society by the ethnic element;

7. robbing of banking system will be followed by robbing of insurance system;

8. negotiations on the formation of a government coalition will be long, hesitant and after the politicians’ summer vacation;

9. The death of the roe deer as in Labis’s story.

Zinaida Grecheanyi’s victory in the Chisinau mayoral elections of 2015 will mean:

1. strengthening of the Party of Socialists’ positions;

2. a long period of hibernation of hope;

3. weakening of the negotiation positions of the Liberal Party in the possible government coalition;

4. free fall and further decimation of the PLDM;

5. postponement of a project of the future of Chisinau.

6. division of society by the ethnic element;

7. definitive elimination of the Party of Communists from the Moldovan political arena;

8. return of the mute politician to the public life;

9. robbing of banking system will be followed by robbing of insurance system;

10. negotiations on the formation of a government coalition will be long, hesitant and after the politicians’ summer vacation;

11. Death reads the paper, as in Dinescu’s story.
