The employers who will hire unemployed persons from vulnerable groups, including persons with dishabilles, could get subsidies from the state for partially covering the salary of these. This is provided in a bill to promote employment that was adopted by Parliament in the first reading on May 4, IPN reports.

Under the bill, monthly subsidies equal to 30% of the average official salary for the previous year will be offered for a period of six months for each employed jobless person. The subsidies will be provided especially for partially covering the salary of the employed person from the aforementioned groups.

The new provisions refer to the following categories of unemployed persons: persons aged 50 and over; persons freed from detention places; victims of trafficking in human beings who were psychologically and socially rehabilitated; persons who fight addition to substances; victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable groups.

Subsidies will also be offered for creating jobs or adjusting the workplace to the needs of persons with disabilities employed based on an individual contract for an indefinite period. In such cases, the state will cover 50% of the costs incurred by the employer. The subsidy will not exceed ten average monthly official salaries for the previous year for each created job or adjusted workplace.

According to the authors, the goal of the bill is to prevent and reduce unemployment and its social effects, to diminish the risk of unemployment and to ensure a high employment rate and the adjustment of the labor force to the labor market needs.

The bill is to be passed in the final reading.
