Students go on vacation on April 25

The Easter vacation in schools starts on April 25 and closes on May 3. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, head of the Chisinau Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said that unlike the schools, the kindergartens will continue work. During the Easter holidays the attendance at kindergartens is usually low as the parents leave their children at home with the elder brothers and sisters, Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said. The period of the Easter vacation depends on the day when Easter is celebrated. Last year, the students had been on vacation from April 5 until April 12. Over 78,000 students study at the 143 public schools and 15 private schools working in the municipality of Chisinau.
