Manchester hosted the 24th World Taekwondo Championships. A Moldovan referee distinguished himself at these. Ștefan Răileanu was named best in the men’s category, IPN reports.
Among Moldovan athletes, Stepan Dimitrov and Aaron Cook had the best performance. They both finished fifth in their weight classes. In the medal rankings, South Korea dominated the competition with four golds, one silver and two bronzes.
The next World Taekwondo Championships will take place in China in 2021.
