The format of the protests mounted by the opposition parties should be changed. The protests should become anti-constitutional and permanent, programs director of the Center for Policies and Reforms Stefan Gligor stated in the talk show “Politics of Natalia Morari” on TV8 channel, IPN reports.

“I think the format of protests should be modified. These should become anti-constitutional and permanent. The protests should exert pressure on the activity of institutions and should seek the annulment of the mixed-member electoral system and the adoption of the proportional representation system,” stated Stefan Gligor. According to him, if there people of the Republic of Moldova want another future, they should prove that they deserve it and have the occasion of doing this as of August 26.

Stefan Gligor is sure that if the protests involve 70,000-100,000 people and these decide that they will stay there until the current government that is non-representative and was named by an assembled Parliament suspected of corruption leaves, changes can occur. “We should stop staging protests on Sundays. We should protest at the institutions where there are people who betrayed us and do not represent us and tell them what we think about them and exert pressure on them on every occasion, peacefully. I assure you that if there are 50,000 – 100,000 people around the Parliament Building on a session day, things can change radically,” he stated.
