The prosecution bodies in Moldova protect most of the members of criminal organizations operating in the country, said the leader of the Party of Change Ștefan Gligor, who expressed his dissatisfaction with the work done by the Prosecutor General’s Office, the National Anticorruption Center and the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office. According to the politician, the Constitutional Court’s decision by which the Shor Party was outlawed does not do away with the illegalities committed by Ilan Shor and his acolytes, IPN reports.

The chairman of the Party of Change took part in the meeting of President Maia Sandu with representatives of pro-European parties. He said that not all the parties whose representatives attended the meeting should be consulted by the presidential institution. The details discussed earlier on this platform were transmitted to the Russian intelligence services.

“It is always good to consult all the forces that are pro-European and that advocate the rule of law, order, democracy. The question is how, many of those parties, including those that have been consulted now, are really well-intentioned political parties?  I cannot say that I sympathize with all those who were involved in this consultation process, but my sympathies do not matter. If the President of the Republic of Moldova considered it is opportune and necessary to invite them, it means she has arguments that I probably don’t know. I accept these invitations in the hope that I inform the President about harsh realities to which the state does not take attitude. What was discussed at the previous meeting was passed on to the special intelligence services of the Russian Federation. We spoke about the work of criminal organizations, including in the municipality of Balti and not only, and my previous speech reached those services in detail,” Ștefan Gligor stated in the program “Reflection Points” on Vocea Basarabiei station.

He noted that in the discussions, he warned President Sandu about the inaction of the Moldovan prosecution bodies, which turned out to be inefficient in the fight against national criminal entities.

“I reiterated that nothing has changed in the fight against illegal voter corruption by the criminal organization Shor and other criminal organizations. The outlawing of the Shor Party hasn’t solved the Shor Party problem and couldn’t have solved this problem. Why did the Constitutional Court take such a decision? Because the prosecution bodies are impotent and they protect and shield most of the members of criminal organizations operating in this country. I refer to the Prosecutor General’s Office managed by prosecutor general Ion Munteanu, the NAC that witnessed particular improvements after Rurac was removed from there, but these are insufficient, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office whose chief is not suitable for that post and who chose deputies who repeatedly discredited this institution by their work,” said the politician.

On June 28, President Maia Sandu met with representatives of a number of political parties that declare they support Moldova’s integration into the EU. The main subjects discussed there included the foreign risks to democracy in Moldova and the combination of forces for ensuring the irreversibility of the European course.
