Moldovan fullback Stefan Burghiu signed for the Kazak team Zhetysu Taldykorgan. He made his debut for the new team with a goal, IPN reports.
Zhetysu beat Kairat A 3-0, with Burghiu scoring in the 22nd minute. The 26-year-old fullback transferred to Kazakhstan from Zimbru, with which he won Moldova’s Cup in 2014. The same year he scored the victory goal against PAOK in the European League playoffs.
Stefan Burghiu played seven matches for the national football team of Moldova. He also played for Nistru Otaci and Petrocub-Hancesti Sarata Galbena.
