The investigation of different economic offenses could become the responsibility of the State Tax Service. A bill to this effect was approved by the Cabinet on July 3, IPN reports.
Minister of Finance Sergey Pușcuța said the goal of such a decision is to prevent and fight economic offenses that affect the work of honest business entities and prevent the stimulation of loyal competition.
The list includes such offenses as illegal entrepreneurial activities and financial activities, pseudo-activity of entrepreneur and tax evasion of enterprises.
A subdivision of the State Tax Service with 70 employees will be set up to deal with this task.
