Officials who will not make sufficient efforts for diversifying external markets will be dismissed or even charged with treason, the prime-minister Vasile Tarlev recently declared.
According to him, some civil servants have an irresponsible attitude towards the Governmental decisions, laws and orders, especially on the Action Plan (AP) Moldova-EU.
The prime-minister criticized the fact that not all the ministers participated in the reunion of diplomatic and consular missions of Moldova, which took place on July 24-27 and which tackled some aspects of the Moldovan diplomacy and of the foreign activity of Moldova. He demanded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration to present a list of ministries which did not participate in order to apply sanctions.
Tarlev said that at the reunion, Moldovan diplomats expressed their dissatisfaction with the activity of the agro-industrial Agency “Moldova-Vin” which does not work sufficiently active in the light of the embargo imposed to the wine and agro-alimentary products and of the external shocks Moldova is suffering of.
The prime-minister said that he officially asked diplomats to present him until September 1 the plan for perspective actions as a result of the reunion from Chisinau and he also urged civil servants to be more receptive to the collaboration with the diplomatic missions.
Tarlev concluded his speech with the fact that Moldova gradually becomes over the last three years “a more active regional and international actor” and “it is very important to further work efficiently and exclude mistakes”
The action plan Moldova-EU was signed on February 22, 2005 and its implementation must be concluded in three years. The president Vladmir Voronin declared on Thursday, July 27 at the meeting with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Rene van der Linden that Moldova counts on the support of the PACE in continuing cooperation with the EU after the implementation of the Action Plan Moldova-EU.
