State of emergency in Transnistrian region extended

The state of emergency declared in the Transnistrian region in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic was extended until May 15, IPN reports.

The Transnistrian administration also declared April 28, 29 and 30 nonworking days for public sector employees by keeping their salaries.

The state of emergency in the region was declared for the period between March 17 and April 5 and was then extended until May 1. It was now extended the second time.

The Transnistrian authorities reported 357 infections with COVID-19 and 16 deaths from the novel coronavirus so far.
