In the first 7 months of 2006, the budget received inputs of MDL 4.845 bln, although there were planned accumulations of MDL 4.392 bln. Thus, more than MDL 400 mln are over planned receipts, by 10.2% more compared with the planned index. According to the Minister of Finance, Mihai Pop, compared with the same period of the last years, the inputs increased by MDL 700 mln or by 16%. Pop also declared on Wednesday at the meeting of the Government that for this period of time there were planned expenses amounting to MDL 6.47 bln, but only about MDL 5 bln were spent, or only 81%. Compared with the same period of 2005, expenses have increased by nearly 25%. The minister draw the attention of the members of the Government upon the necessity of paying more attention to the expenses chapter, in order to avoid last year’s situation when the highest share of expenses had been registered in the 4th trimester. The prime-minister Vasile Tarlev qualified the implementation of the Law on budget in this period as “comparatively good result”.
