A sports TV channel will broadcast in the Republic of Moldova. The Audiovisual Council approved the Moldovan Football Federation’s request to issue a broadcast license for the TV channel “We Sport”, IPN reports.
In the deliberations, Council members said the appearance of a source of information about sports is welcome, necessary and long-awaited in Moldova. “I think our current decision would have gladdened a lot the late Efim Josanu,” said the Council’s head Liliana Vițu-Eșanu, referring to the famous sports journalist and the first president of the Olympic Committee of Moldova.
Council members noted that the future TV channel has all the chances to become a way for propagating Moldovan sports abroad and for connecting the public to international sports events. MFF representative Alexandru Grecu said the channel will be supported by FIFA and UEFA and by national contributors, including Moldtelecom.
