Division A leader Codru Lozova produced the surprise in the 1/8 finals of Moldova’s Football Cup, IPN reports.
The team trained by former international Valeriu Andronic defeated in Orhei Speranta Nisporeni 1-0 in the first leg of the 1/8 finals. The only goal was scored by Daniel Adam in the 14th minute.
Another surprise was witnessed in Chisinau, where Zimbru failed to win against Spartanii, of the third league, drawing 0-0.
The other matches ended as follows: Petrocub - Floresti 10-2, Sheriff - Iskra 7-0, Victoria - Zaria 1-4, Cahul - Dinamo-Auto 1-0, Sfintul Gheorghe - Sparta 7-2, and Granicerul - Milsami 0-2. The second legs will be played on July 7.
