The MPs of the Șor Party demand that the group’s bill by which the minimum pension is raised to 5,000 lei should be examined by Parliament as swiftly as possible. The MPs ask the head of the commission on social protection, health and family to include the legislative proposal in the agenda of the next sitting of the commission, IPN reports.
In a press briefing, MP Reghina Apostolova said the bill is designed to improve the life of over 630,000 citizens. The bill needs to be endorsed by the Government first. “Our group asked Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marcel Spatari to consider the initiative of Șor Party and to give a positive appraisal as our proposal envisions a proportional rise in other social benefits,” stated Reghina Apostolova.
She noted that the Government can examine the bill in its meeting planned for this week.
The bill was registered with Parliament.
