After the announced Cabinet reshuffles, the Party of Socialists (PSRM) said that the entire Cabinet of Ministers must resign and snap parliamentary elections should be held, IPN reports.

The PSRM considers that the replacement of three ministers is just an attempt to simulate a change. "Moldova is in a deep crisis, and the current government is fully responsible for this," noted representatives of the Party of Socialists. According to them, in order to overcome the situation, it is necessary to dismiss the entire Cabinet and organize snap parliamentary elections.

"These actions go against the expectations of the citizens, who clearly expressed their dissatisfaction with the current regime in the last elections and in the referendum on European integration. The government managed to stay in power only because of massive frauds at polling stations abroad. It is obvious that the current government is in a state of deep crisis, marked by internal tensions and involvement in corruption schemes," reads the Socialists' statement.

The PSRM said that the people deserve a government capable of defending the country's interests, but not their own interests. "We will fight for justice and for the necessary changes for the future of the Republic of Moldova," noted the Socialists.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean on Monday evening announced Cabinet reshuffles. Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, is to become Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, a position from which Andrei Spînu recently resigned. In his place, Ludmila Catlabuga, a businesswoman, was designated as head of the Ministry of Agriculture. Also, Adrian Efros quit as Minister of Internal Affairs last night. He will be replaced by Daniella Misail-Nikitin, currently secretary of state at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, 10:00 a.m.
