Chisinau councilors of the Party of Socialists demand that the head of the Health Division Mihai Moldovanu should be investigated and accuse him of destroying the municipal health system, IPN reports.
In a news conference, Socialist councilor Dinari Cojocaru said he possesses information that the directors of medical associations were obliged to organize 65-70 persons to go on trips abroad for €200-250 each, while the transport services were chosen on the instruction of Mihai Moldovanu.
The councilor also said that public funds were used to repair the Rest House of Health Professionals of Chisinau, which is situated in Vadul lui Voda, and the Health Division head prepared the required documents to make this available for use and to later privatize it. “The ex-director of Municipal Clinical Hospital No.2 “Archangels Mikhail and Gavriil”, Mister Ciobanu, didn’t want to put his signature in this offense and was thus dismissed,” stated Dinari Cojocaru.
The Socialists accuse Mihai Moldova of leasing out areas inside health facilities and land on the territory of health centers for personal purposes. According to Dinari Cojocaru, Mihai Moldovanu organized the purchase of medical equipment by prior arrangements with business entities close to him in the own interests not in the interests of the municipality. There is information that the money allocated by the Chisinau Municipal Council for supporting persons with disabilities was redistributed by Mihai Moldovanu for performing repair works.
