The people who are entitled to social benefit and cold-month allowances will be able to receive them not only by banks, but also by Moldova’s Post Office, IPN reports, quoting the amendments to Article 10 of the Law on Social Assistance that were approved by the Government.
ICT Minister Pavel Filip said the law provides that the institutions that will pay the social benefit and cold-month allowances will be selected at a contest. The contest will be open to all the potential payment services provides, both financial institutions and other providers, including Moldova’s Post Office that manages the public postal network.
“Given that Moldova’s Post Office has subdivisions in almost all the villages and towns of the country, the recipients will be able to receive the money regardless of the place of residence,” said Pavel Filip.
