The first SMURD center in Moldova will be opened in Balti in the middle of August, with the support of Romania. The center will provide emergency medical assistance and qualified first aid, IPN reports.
Under an agreement between the Ministries of Health of Moldova and Romania, the Romanian side will outfit the pilot center SMURD in Balti with equipment for offering emergency medial assistance, including by ambulances.
Romania will also provide assistance in developing the medical and paramedical division of Moldova’s emergency service. It will contribute to developing the capacities of the personnel and to ensuring the logistic support needed to offer emergency medical assistance.
