Over the last few days, the situation in the security zone became steady. Till Monday, January 15, no violation of the Unified Control Commission’s decision on the situation at Cocieri-Dubasari-Rabnita roadway was registered, Ion Leahu, representative of the Unified Control Commission (UCC) on behalf of Chisinau told Info-Prim Neo. UCC decided at an extraordinary session dated January 13 to exclude militia and police stations on the respective route and replace them with a fixed post of the peacekeeping forces. On Friday, January 12, representatives of Moldovan police came into conflict with Transnistrian militia after a mobile police post had installed itself several metres far from the established place. Tiraspol qualified this action as “an attempt by Moldovan police to invade Transnistria’s territory and seize Cocieri-Dubasari-Rabnita roadway”. The peacekeeping forces post is due to serve in its current place till January 18, when a new sitting of UCC will take place.
