President Igor Dodon asked for written information about the double identity of some of the politicians from the Security and Intelligence Service. Details will be presented at the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Security Council, IPN reports.
“We must see who allowed particular politicians to have several identities and based on what legal reasons and arguments and the competent bodies should deal with this,” President Dodon said, answering journalists’ questions.
MP Kiril Moțpan, who until recently headed the parliamentary commission on national security, defense and public border, earlier said that the former leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc has double identity in Moldova. He has papers with his picture, but with a different name, surname, birthdate and residence.
On October 29, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office took legal action over the obtaining by the former Democratic leader Vlad Plahotniuc of the second passport of Moldova, under a different identity.
