The Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) said that following operational activities and information received from Ukrainian counterparts, it identified subversive activities aimed at undermining the state and destabilizing public order in the Republic of Moldova. The information was made public after the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he informed President Maia Sandu about such risks, IPN reports.

The SIS noted that it is taking operational measures to elucidate the attempts to destabilize the situation in the country and cooperates closely with the partner intelligence services. “At this moment, we cannot provide more details as there is a risk the different ongoing operational activities will be thwarted. We assure the citizens of the Republic of Moldova that all the state institutions work at full capacity and will not allow the provocations to be successful,” the SIS noted in a press release.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said he informed President Maia Sandu about a Russian document discoverer by the Ukrainian intelligence service, which says how, who and when will destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova.
