The sign that ban the movement of motorcycles (road sign 3.5.1) was restored at a number of intersections that cross the central boulevard of Chisinau. Similar signs will be places at all the intersections with Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd until the end of this week, IPN reports.
The motorcyclists cannot ride along the main artery of the capital city. The Chisinau City Hall decided to restore the signs following requests from people living nearby, who complained about noise. Car drivers reproach motorcyclists for violating road traffic rules.
The given sign was removed in 2017, but the movement of motorcycles has never been allowed on Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd, as the local authorities said.
