In the context of the high temperatures forecast for the next period, the pavements and waiting stations in the capital city will be washed, said the General Housing and Amenities Division. According to the Division’s head Ion Burdiumov, the works will be carried out according to the set schedules, IPN reports.
Burdiumov also said that 60 vehicles equipped with brushes, blades and salt spreaders, where necessary, were involved in works to remove snow from sidewalks last weekend. 70 people cleared snow from waiting stations and access ways to underground passages.
"During the week, cleanup works continued throughout the city and about 400 workers and 50 units of equipment were daily involved in the process," noted Burdiumov.
Also, a total of 184 truck routes were organized to take away the waste accumulated for a week in Chisinau.
