Since the Constitutional Court (CC) passed its decision, the Shor Party is considered dissolved. No document adopted by the bodies of this party after the given decision was pronounced has legal power. The Ministry of Justice will constitute a commission to liquidate the Shor Party and this will take the necessary measures to strike the party off the Register of Legal Entities. This is provided in the CC decision by which the Shor Party was declared unconstitutional, IPN reports.

The decision says the Shor Party members who sit in Parliament will now serve as independent MPs. The party’s representatives who work for bodies of local administrative units of all levels will now serve as independent representatives and will not be able to join other factions.

The Shor Party’s lists of substitute candidates for Parliament and councils, which were validated earlier, are considered null from today. If a seat of MP becomes vacant after the adoption of this decision, the seat will remain vacant throughout the length of the 11th legislature and the Court will not validate any of the seats. If a representative mandate on behalf of this party in the bodies of local administrative units of all levels, including in ATU Gagauzia, falls vacant, this will remain vacant.

The given decision is definitive, cannot be challenged, takes effect when it is adopted and is published in the Official Gazette.

CC judge Sergey Țurcan formulated a dissident opinion on the issue, while CC judge Vladimir Țurcan formulated a separate opinion.
