Sheriff Tiraspol won the Football Super Cup of Moldova for the seventh time. The team trained by French coach Bruno Irles beat at home the Cup’s holder Zaria Balti 3-1, IPN reports.

The top scorer of the previous edition of the National Division, Swiss player Subotic opened the score in the 16th minute, but Zaria tied in only four minutes through striker Igor Bugaiov. In the 71st minute, Bugaiov was eliminated and left the team in numeric inferiority. The footballers from Tiraspol profited and avoided overtime. The same Subotic scored again in the 82nd minute from a penalty, while new entrant Rebenja set the final score in the last minute.

”I’m glad that I won the first trophy as a coach. I thanked my team, but I told them to concentrate already on a good play in the championship,” said the coach of Sheriff Bruno Irles.
