Sheriff needed overtime to beat Dacia and win Moldova’s Cup.  The team from Tiraspol was leading by 2-0, but the opponents drew in the 90th minute +4, IPN reports.

Potiguar opened the score in the 9th minute, while Iurcu doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute. Cociuc and Leuca scored later for Dacia. After the 94th minute, Sheriff had by one player fewer following Barakhoev’s elimination. It won the game in the 109th minute, through the goal scored by Bulgarian player Ismail Isa.

“When it was 2-0, we had occasions for scoring. We should have scored and ended the game. We yet managed to win the victory in overtime. I’m satisfied as it was a nice match,” said the coach of Sheriff Zoran Zekic.

“It was a real match for the Cup, in which the suspense was kept until the end. Regretfully, we lost the second trophy in several days,” said Dacia coach Veaceslav Semionov.

Sheriff thus won Moldova’s Cup the eighth time. It also won in it 1999, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
