Sheriff scored its third consecutive victory under the guidance of coach Goran Sablic. The team from Tiraspol won away against Zimbru 1-0, IPN reports.
The only goal was scored by the top scorer of the championship Al-Hadji Kamara in the 41st minute.
“In the second half, we had several good occasions for drawing. I told my pupils after the match that I’m not afraid to go with them to a battlefield,” Zimbru coach Sergiu Secu told a news conference.
Sheriff remains three points ahead of Milsami, which beat Speranta 2-1. The other matches of the 13th stage ended in a draw: Dinamo-Auto - Petrocub 2-2 and Zaria - Sfintul Gheorghe 1-1.
