The only Moldovan team that remained in the European cups found out its opponent in the Europa League playoffs. The draw held on August 9 decided that Sheriff Tiraspol will play against Vojvodina Novi Sad of Serbia, IPN reports.

Vojvodina is the third Balkan team that will meet Moldova’s champion this season, after Sutjeska Montenegro and Dinamo Zagreb Croatia.

In the current Europa League season, Vojdvodina eliminated Hibernians Malta (general score 7-1), Honved Hungary (5-1) and Bursaspor Turkey (5-2). The first-leg match will be played in Serbia on August 22, while the return match - in Tiraspol on August 29.

If Sheriff beats the Serbian team, it will qualify for the Europa League groups, as in 2009 and 2010.
