During the last season, the 23-year-old footballer played for Litex Lovech, scoring 11 goals. Earlier, he played in Turkey’s championship for Elazigspor and Karabukspor.

Sheriff is close to signing another Bulgarian – goalkeeper Georgi Georgiev - from its opponent FC Tiraspol, and Brazilian halfback Cadu from Crvena Zvezda.

Before entering the Champions League qualifiers, Serbians Tadej Apatic and Sasa Marjanovic and Polish player Krzysztof Krol left the team. The situation of other players, including Moldovan internationals Alexandru Onica and Serghei Gheorghiev, is uncertain.

On June 24, Sheriff will find out its rival in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
