Sheriff Tiraspol and Milsami Orhei are the first teams that qualified for the quarterfinals of Moldova’s Football Cup, IPN reports.
Sheriff demolished Iskra also in the second leg played in Rybnitsa. After the 7-0 victory in the first leg, the team from Tiraspol won again 9-1. Brazilian player Jo Santos, who returned to Sheriff after being “on loan” at CSM Iasi, scored two goals.
In Orhei, Milsami defeated Granicerul 4-2. Oleg Andronic scored two goals. In the first leg, the team trained by Veaceslav Rusnac won 2-0.
Two more encounters of the 1/8 finals were scheduled for July 6: Floresti - Petrocub and Zaria - Victoria.
