Sheriff Tiraspol diminished its chances of qualifying for the second round of the UEFA Youth League. Moldova’s champion was beaten 1-4 in Constanta by Viitorul, which is patronized by Gheorghe Hagi, IPN reports.
Ciobanu scored a hat-trick for Viitorul for which Cicaldau also scored. The goal of honor of the team from Tiraspol was scored by Caruntu with a penalty in the last minute of the first half. Sheriff played in numerical inferiority from the 73rd minute after Chiperi was sent off.
The return match is played in Tiraspol on October 19.
