Sheriff Tiraspol went to Moscow to play the most important match of this year. The National Division leader must beat Anji in order to force the qualification for the 1/16 finals of the UEFA Europa League, IPN reports.

“This match is like a final. It is very important for us to win. We have no other option, while in two weeks we must obtain qualification with Tromso. We will play against Anji in not very favorable weather conditions. The field is also not in a good state,” said the team’s coach Juan Ferrando.

“This is the most important match this year. The next is that against Tromso, at home. We want to win. A tie is not enough,” said striker Henrique Luvannor.

Spanish fullback Melli will not be able to play for Sheriff as he is at the last suspension stage after being shown a red card at Trosmo. In the case of Anji, Lacina Traore suffered an injury, while the presence of another four players is in question. Serder Serderov, Ali Gadjibekov, Nikita Burmistrov and Gia Grigalava hurt themselves in the last match of the championship, against Volga. Moldova’s Alexandru Epureanu will yet play for Anji.

Even if Anji ranks last in the championship of Russia, it is the favorite in this qualifying round. The team trained by Gadji Gadjiev has by five points more than Sheriff and may enter the 1/16 finals of the UEFA Europa League one stage before the end of the group phase if it scores a victory.

The encounter between Anji and Sheriff will take place in Ramenskoe on November 28, starting at 7pm. It will be refereed by Libor Kovarik from the Czech Republic. In the other match, Tottenham, which already qualified, will play away against Tromso.
