After the 1-0 victory scored in the final of the Football Cup, the National Divison leader Sheriff demolished the second-ranked Sfîntul Gheorghe 5-0, IPN reports.
In the 17th minute, Ukrainian footballer Miroslav Mazur scored an own goal. Iuri Kendysh from Belarus set the break score in the 30th minute. In the second half, goals were scored by Tambe, Kovacevic and Cojocaru. Sheriff is now eight points ahead of Sfîntul Gheorghe, which remained second.
Milsami went up after beating Zimbru 1-0. Alexei Ciopa scored an own goal in the 63rd minute. Milsami this way interrupted the series of six matches without a victory in the National Division. “It was a new good match for us, but we again suffered a defeat,” Zimbru coach Sorin Colceag told a news conference.
There will be a pause of two weeks in the National Division owing to the encounters of Moldova with Andorra and Albania.
