Sheriff won the second victory in a row and became thus the new leader of the National Division. The team from Tiraspol beat Academia 3-0 in the 21st stage, IPN reports.

The score was opened in the first minute. Ion Sandu scored the earliest self-goal in the history of Moldova’s championship. Brazil’s Ricardinho and Ernandes also scored on the field in Chisinau’s Buiucani district, in the 45th and 73rd minutes.

“It’s good that it was the last game on artificial lawn. I’m convinced that we will play better on natural grass,” Sheriff coach Zoran Zekic told a news conference

Sheriff have 36 points and are two points ahead of Milsami. Dacia slipped to the third place. Today they play Saxan away.

In another match of the 21st stage, Zimbru won the first victory under the guidance of Veaceslav Rusnac - 2-0 against Dinamo-Auto. The goals were scored by Hacheaturov and Dedov in the second half.
