Sheriff Tiraspol won their 10th consecutive victory in Divizia Nationala by outclassing Dinamo-Auto 3-0, IPN reports.
Mihail Ghecev scored a double and the final score was set by the championship’s current top scorer Robert Tambe on the 84th minute.
"It was very hot. I had to field a number of reserve players. There were good and less good moments," said Sheriff manager Zoran Zekic.
Zimbru scored their second victory this season, edging Speranța 2-1. Maxim Șoimu opened the scoring on the 25th minute, but the guests equalized after 7 minutes, thanks to Cameroon's Fabrice Ambassa. The victory goal was scored by Vadim Călugher, on the 64th minute.
In the other two games of matchday 17, Milsami lost to Petrocub 0-3 and Sfîntul Gheorghe defeated Codru 1-0.
Sheriff kept their 11-point lead against Saint George in the standings. The podium is completed by Petrocub. The only team that didn't get any wins is the newly promoted Codru.
