The second league football competition resumed on March 14. Sfantul Gheorghe, one of the favorites for promotion to the National Division, beat Gagauzia away 7-0, IPN reports.
The goals for the team trained by Constantin Arbanas and Vadim Boret were scored by Maxim (1st, 58th, 88th minutes), Diulgher (30th, penalty), Boico (75th), Luca (78th) and Renita (86th).
“Despite the clear victory, there is yet a lot of work that we must do. We want to play in the National Division,” Sfantul Gheorghe coach Vadim Boret told a news conference.
Another two matches of the 16th stage ended as follows: Zimbru-2 – Edinet 3-2, Codru - Intersport-Aroma 1-0.
Sheriff-2 Tiraspol holds the lead. It is one point ahead of Spicul Chiscareni. Sfantul Gheorghe Suruceni ranks third.
