Three men were sentenced to 20 to 25 years in prison for sexual abuse committed against two young women, one of whom is a minor. The Prosecutor General's Office said that the men pleaded not guilty, IPN reports.
The first defendant, aged 25, was convicted of rape, child pornography and child trafficking and got 25 years. The second man, aged 21, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for child trafficking and violation of the right to privacy. The third is 29 years old. He will spend 25 years behind bars for the same crimes.
All the three were banned from performing activities related to human resource management for a period of 5 years.
According to the indictment, last February the three recruited two young women, whom they held captive for a few days. They mistreated, sexually abused, humiliated them in various ways, causing them physical suffering, including burns on their bodies. Everything was filmed and the individuals sent the images to other people, the Prosecutor General's Office said in a press release.
During the criminal investigation, the defendants were in pre-trial detention. The sentence can be challenged.
