Intervention teams of Apă-Canal Chișinău are working to fix the damage caused to the sewerage system on Aerodromului St in the capital city. A reinforced concrete collector sewer installed in 1962 failed and, as a result, a piece of roadway collapsed, IPN reports.
The works are in progress and road signs were set up for traffic safety. After the works are completed, the affected area will be restored and the roadway will be asphalted, the supplier noted.
On Monday, netizens posted photos and videos with the hole formed in the roadway on Aerodromului St. The responsible services isolated the area.
Persons who notice leaks or other problems in the water supply and sewerage systems are urged to report them to the Dispatcher’s Service of Apă-Canal Chișinău on 022-256-666.
