Seven analog insulin generics will be fully covered by the Mandatory Health Insurance’s compensation plan for diabetics.
These are insulinum aspartum, insulinum aspartum biphasic, insulinum degludecum, insulinum detemirum, insulinum glarginum, insulinum glulisinum, and insulinum lispro.
These drugs may be dispensed based on prescriptions from qualified endocrinologists. Both insured and uninsured persons will be able to pick up the drug from any drugstore contracted by the National Health Insurance Company.
Also, people receiving outpatient palliative care will be able get 11 generics for free: acetylsalicylicum acid, dexamethasonum, dexketoprofenum, diclofenacum, ketoprofenum, meloxicamum, methylprednisolonum, 100% paracetamolum, predoxolone, and pentoxify.
Another drug that is currently fully compensated, risperidonum, will also be prescribed for autism spectrum disorders, both for children over five years and for adults.
