Platina Chisinau suffered the first defeat the past month in the International Youth League championship. After scoring six victories in a row, the best hokey team of Moldova lost to the Russian club Raketa Sarov 2-4.

The goals for Platina were scored by Roman Nekliudov and Maris Dilevka. Platina plays the next two matches also in Tiraspol. On December 10, the team sponsored by Sergiu Ciobanu hosts Odintsovo, while on December 13 - Dmitrov. The International Youth League involves 14 teams, with Platina being in the first part of the championship.

“The hokey never had traditions in Moldova. We want to change the state of affairs through the agency of Platina and to popularize hokey in our country,” the team’s president Sergiu Ciobanu has told IPN.

Platina has competed in the International Youth League championship the second year. This season, the team includes hokey players from the Czech Republic, Latvia and Russia. It plays the home matches in Tiraspol because the skating rink in Chisinau does not meat the requirements.
