The 13,000 signatures presented at the Electoral Council by the former PLDM vice president Mihai Godea to be registered in the Chisinau mayoral race were gathered by Registru and CCCEC. The accusation was brought on Friday, May 6, by Sergiu Mocanu, head of the Anti-mafia People’s Movement Political Party, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Sergiu Mocanu hinted that the First Deputy Speaker, Democrat Vlad Plahotniuc, might be behind Mihai Godea’s departure from PLDM. “If most people wondered how Godea managed to gather 13,000 signatures in 2 days, we felt humiliated by this affront to the public opinion, by the way Plahotniuc managed to promote a man with the goal to break a political party. Previously, he took by force businesses, now he’s ripping apart political parties”, said Sergiu Mocanu.
The head of Anti-mafia Movement said that the departures from PLDM shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. “Because of his ego, Vlad Filat is losing some of his party members. Other political leaders have faced the same things. The problem is that people are leaving Filat not as a result of some political issues, but because of extra-political reasons”, claims Mocanu. He is sure that others will soon follow Godea.
“Mihai Godea was Plahotniuc’s coup de grace to Filat. The blows to PLDM won’t stop here. Simion Furdui, Alexandru Cembruci and many others will leave after Godea”, said Sergiu Mocanu.
The Anti-mafia leader claims that all who are leaving have been corrupted by Vlad Plahotniuc. The latter is allegedly developing a new political project for the next parliamentary elections. “It’s different from PDM and there is place for Godea. This team would fit Igor Dodon, Vitalie Nagacevschi and others. Politicians are bought with money or through blackmail. Even PCRM have been a target of raider attacks. Vlad Plahotniuc wants to tear apart PCRM as well”, stated Mocanu.
At the local elections on June 5, the Anti-mafia Movement will support the Party for Nation and Country, which put Victor Busuioc forward for mayor in Tudora village, Stefan Voda district. “Our candidate is a symbol, a village mayor for whom we’ll campaign for. He is a citizen whose house has been attacked by CCCEC and he defended it as he could. He is the symbol of resistance against criminal structures that are bringing our people to despair”, the Anti-mafia leader said.
