The work of the Chicu Government during the state of emergency is a complete failure. If it was graded, it would get “1”. Moreover, the current Government is considered an electoral one, MP of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Sergiu Litvinenco stated in a public debate titled “Government’s performance during six months since its appointment and during two months of state of emergency: pros and cons” that was staged by IPN News Agency.
According to the MP, Moldova has the largest number of infected doctors against the number of persons confirmed with COVID-19 in the world. This shows that the doctors haven’t been equipped appropriately and thus contracted the virus. The Government was unable to provide the medial personnel with protective equipment at the beginning and as a result the hospitals became real hotbeds of infection with COVID-19.
Sergiu Litvinenco wondered how can the number of infections with COVID-19 be now much higher than at the start of the state of emergency?
The MP noted that the current Government failed to save Moldova’s economy as it didn’t take measures to stimulate the businesses to keep the jobs.
Sergiu Litvinenco believes the current Government is an electoral one. “Its government program says the Government’s mandate is until the presidential elections. If we look at the actions of this Government, we realize that it is an electoral Government and everything it did was designed to help Igor Dodon to win his second term in office. It is now hard for me to say if this Government helps or impedes Dodon given the incompetence it showed. I think Igor Dodon, after the failures of this incompetent Government, does not have chances of winning a new term in office and this is for Moldova’s benefit,” he noted.
The debate titled “Government’s performance during six months since its appointment and during two months of state of emergency: pros and cons” was the 135th installment of the series of debates “Development of political culture through public debates” that are supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
