The Moldovan Athletics Federation designated the laureates of 2015. Sergei Marghiev was named the best man athlete of this year, while his sister Zalina Marghiev – as the best woman athlete, IPN reports.
Both of the athletes have qualified for the Rio Olympics, as their sister Marina Marghiev-Nikishenko did. The three will compete in hammer throw. Marathon runners Roman Prodius and Lilia Fisikovich will also take part in the 2015 Olympic Games.
Soslan Marghiev became the coach of the year 2015.
