Canoeist Sergei Tarnovschi reached the semifinals of the Olympic Games in Paris. In the single 1000m race, he finished first the fourth qualifying series with the result of 3:49.27, IPN reports.
He was followed by Canada’s Connor Fitzpatrick with 3:50.79.
The semifinals will take place on August 9.
Sergei Tarnovschi is at his third participation in the Olympic Games. At the Tokyo Olympics, he won the bronze medal.
