SEM Composite index cuts new record in February

EVM Composite index has significantly increased in February 2007, by +41.0881 points, totalling 1 155.7359 at the end of the period. In February, the composite index of the Stock Exchange of Moldova reached a new historic level – 1 164.1808 points. According to the Rating and Estimation Agency “Estimator-VM”, in the first two months of 2007, the value of EVM Composite increased considerably, by +90.2435 points or by + 8.47%, fact which shows an increase of the exchange market of Moldova on the whole. The increase of the index in the aforementioned period was determined by the growth of the exchange price or the banking shares, as well as of the shares issued by the companies “Hidropompa”, “Magnolia-Servcom”, JLC, “Monolit”, “Stejaur”, “Introscop”, QBE Asito, “Incubator”, “Cahulpan”, Wine factory of Sangerei and “Automobilist-Balti”. The start value of EVM Composite is 1000 points.
